Life Skills Academy Partners

United Way of Central New Mexico

This year, United Way of Central New Mexico (a long time partner of New Day) is supporting the Life Skills Academy through a grant from the community fund. The dollars will be used to build and deliver practical life skills curriculum to over 200 youth.

LA Boxing Albuquerque

New Day would like to thank LA Boxing for teaming with us to provide real world experiences for our students. LA Boxing offers the opportunity for multiple teens to experience the business world through modeling. Teens have the opportunity to observe marketing and customer service techniques while at the front desk, as well as, shadow an expert instructor during a boxing class. The opportunity to see the positive in a high energy and happy environment is inspiring and motivating for teens searching for what their next choice might be.

Blackout Theatre
New Day Youth and Family Services would like to thank our community partner Blackout Theater for providing two theater classes a month. The classes provide an excellent opportunity to learn constructive self expression, a time to be physically engaged, and knowledge of local jobs in the arts. The classes naturally lend themselves to training in planning, problem solving, and social skills.
