Brooke TafoyaChief Executive Officer
Brooke has over twenty years of experience working with young people in various capacities around the country.
Prior to coming to New Day, she developed bullying and violence prevention policies and programs for a large urban school district, was a state-wide trainer on youth violence prevention with a special focus on bullying and cyber-bullying prevention and coordinated a state-wide youth advisory board in Illinois. She developed and implemented a career education program for gang involved youth in St. Louis, Missouri and managed a community center in Orlando, Florida. She worked in residential treatment facilities and shelters for physically and/or sexually abused youth and supervised transitional living programs for older young people in Chicago, Illinois. Brooke is active in her community in non-profit development, building strong organizational climates and implementing paradigm shifting approaches in service delivery models for young people. She received a Master of Social Work from Washington University in Saint Louis and is a licensed Social Worker in New Mexico. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from Principia College. |
Geri martinezChief Administration and Financial Officer
Geri has over 30 years’ experience in accounting and office management. She oversees all project/program and grant/contract accounting and implements a robust contracts management and financial management and reporting system.
She serves as a liaison to all funding agencies or organizations. Geri has a B.A. in business management from the University of Phoenix. |
