Youth Peer Support is a youth driven service, specifically designed to for youth and young adults to assist in improving youth engagement, goal setting, system navigation, community connections, empowerment, wellness and much more.

Youth Peer Support is provided by people with lived experience in youth serving systems that have been specifically trained to utilize their experiences to help others. New Day hires trained and certified youth peer support workers to connect with and assist youth on their wellness journey. They become critical members of a team of support as the young people learn to navigate the larger community of resources that is available to them.

Youth peer support provides a personal level of knowledge by sharing similar experiences. These common experiences can help create meaningful connections and a deeper sense of understanding with youth who my otherwise feel misunderstood or disconnected. Having these connections can play a vital role in a young person’s personal wellness and success.
