maintaining rental housing. Through building a supportive professional relationship, the Housing
Coordinator facilitates their youths’ ability to live independently.

Youth Empowerment Specialist
GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: It is the responsibility of the Youth Empowerment Specialist (YES) to develop, assist and maintain the residential component as it relates to the care and treatment of young people. The residential component may consist of supervision of young people, house management/cleaning, meal preparation, and life skills activities.

talents complete and strengthen the social fabric of our community. We achieve this through three core
approaches: being developmentally aligned (meeting young people where they are developmentally),
trauma responsive and strengths focused. We have developed a comprehensive continuum of care that
supports young people with life skills development, crisis shelter, supportive housing, care coordination and
creating safe and supportive spaces for young people to flourish.
Salary 55k-70K DOE
Requirements
-Masters (preferred) or bachelor’s degree in social services, education or another related field.
-5+ years of supervisory experience.
-4+ years of experience working with youth that have experienced homelessness, trauma, and/or system
involvement.
-Experience working in a housing program (preferred).
-Must be able to pass comprehensive criminal, sexual offender, and MVD background checks.
-Must have reliable personal vehicle, valid driver’s license, and meet state required automobile insurance
minimums.

Center/Street Outreach team with a foundation in trauma informed care and the Nurtured Heart
Approach.
